Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1866. First printing. Hardcover. 8vo, original blue cloth, gilt spine, very good, light wear to spine ends, minor smoky odor. RARE on the market. Attributed to Frederick William Beasley (the introduction is signed by a Caspar Almore); a mix of stories and poems. Beasley (1808-1878) was ordained in the Protestant Episcopal Church in 1832 and served as rector of the All Saints' Church in Lower Dublin, PA for most of his life, was a published poet. Some of the stories, such as "The Indian Dream-Cell" and poems such as "The Ghost at Ford's Inn" -- have a fantastic element to them. Very Good. Item #H6866
