The Quarterly Christian Spectator, Conducted by an Association of Gentleman, Vol. V -- 1833
New Haven: Stephen Cooke, (1834?). Hardcover. 8vo, half leather, marbled boards, red spine label, very good, light general rubbing to binding, contents very good, some foxing throughout. 672 pp, followed by 4 pp of index but the last leaf of the index is only half there. Lots of interesting articles, including a long article discussing the 28 year old William Lloyd Garrison's writings, "Slavery and Colonization," a very early consideration of the father of Abolitionism in America. Second in interest (to us) is a long review and essay on Joel Parker's Lectures on Universalism (1832). Etcetera. Very Good. Item #H7928
