Published on the occasion of Ernie Stefanik's "Once in a Sycamore: A Garland for John Berryman" (Stefanik edited Berryman Studies, composed the bibliography of Berryman published by University of Pittsburgh, and ran the Rook Press, which published poetry and haiku). A fine Dream Song, as Henry reflects on the American literature of the past century: Frank Norris, Hart Crane, Henry Adams, and their collective failure to prepare the "American soul" for the Third Reich, &c.
