Ca. 1820s love letter in verse to "Eliza"
10.5 x 8 inches, single sheet, two sides, addressed to an Eliza, whom the author knew when she was a child but has "begun to develope they graces of feminine sway" which has inspired him to commit his ardor to verse. The author (1799-1862) lived his entire life in Hebron, CT (Tolland County) and eventually married a woman named Mary George (maybe Eliza thought the advances of the older man were a little creepy).
