Montauk, NY: Monument Press, 2003. First printing. No. 20 of 30 copies signed by Brendel, with each of the etchings signed by Nama, of a total edition of 60 copies. Tall dark blue silk clamshell box (20 inches tall) housing loose folded sheets, hand printed by Darrell Hyder at the Sunhill Press in North Brookfield, MA, on Arches Velin, with thirteen etchings and accompanying poems in German and English, with two smaller tinted etchings for the title bifolium and for the colophon. Fine but for the slightest fading to box: contents perfect. Brendel, known as a world class pianist, is also a gifted author as these works reveal. Nama, who grew up and lived for a long time in Pittsburgh, is now located in Montauk, and is a nationally known artist and print-maker whose work is in many of the best museums. A lovely collaboration, rarely on the market, with no recent copies at auction. Item #H9223
