Ca. 1900s cabinet photo of Evelyn Partridge, Princess Engalitcheff of Russia

Photo measures 5.5 x 3.25 inches, mounted on thick white stock that is somewhat spotty and edge-worn. Partridge of Chicago married the Russian prince in the early 1900s and they settled in a large house in Chicago on Michigan Ave. By 1915, there were reports of serious differences in the marriage, and by 1916 they were divorced in a highly contentious battle.
