Dublin: Michael Goodwin, 29 Denmark St. (1827). Hardcover. 16 pp, bound in modern calf and marbled boards, attributed in the Kress Collection catalog to Joseph Capel: the author urges the government of England to parcel out for sale land in the British Colonies at 10 shillings per acre, which would raise considerable money and could be used for farming or to harbor criminals, etc. The author seems especially concerned that the Orders that would potentially govern the sale and dispensation of such Debentures might be susceptible to counterfeit. The publisher advertises that this pamphlet could be printed 'in better form' and on 'pretty good paper' for a bit more money. This is apparently an example of the lesser quality printing as the word 'Coarse' in brackets is at the top of the first page. VG, with some remains of wax drippings to upper corner to some pages. RARE Irish view of English colonial land use. The title is found in italics at the end of the prefatory remarks on the first page. OCLC locates only a handful of original copies in collections. See Goldsmiths'-Kress no. 25206.6. Very Good. Item #ML1295
