Hardcover. 8vo, 9 x 5.75 inches, publisher's dark green boards with paper spine label, good to very good, front cover and spine look like they've been touched up with coloring, rear cover with rubbing and wear but the color looks original, slightly lighter, light restoration to inner hinges, contents uncut and untrimmed, very good, some pages unopened and not separated at top edges, light toning and foxing throughout. The sections are Annals of Europe and America, Foreign State Papers, American State Papers, and Miscellaneous Articles. The most interesting is the American papers: Gallatin's Report of the secretary of the treasury, an unsigned statement on the state of the army and naval establishments from 1789 to 1809, Madison's proclamations as president respecting treaties, entered with the Indians of the Wea tribe and Kickapoo tribe, and a treaty entered into with the Indians north of the Delawares, and in the miscellaneous articles, Hamilton's report of the former secretary of the treasury on the subject of a national bank. In the foreign section and other sections, there are reflections on the state of Holland, on the state of Spain, the condition of England, reputation of Josephine, speech of Mr. Baird on the subject of the bank, speeches in Congress on the subject of the reduction of the Navy establishment, and much else.
