Cloth backed boards in dust jacket, very good, light wear, slight bumping to lower corners, light rubbing and wear to jacket. Inscribed in 1985 to Esther Williams from editor (Williams was a Black educator from Wilberforce, OH whose brother is the historian Larry Glasco, author of books on Teenie Harris and August Wilson -- some of whose poetry is featured in this book). "P. 56" is written in ink on half title. Adoff was married to Virginia Hamilton, the children's book author & illustrator. Very good / very good. Item #h43928
