Quarto, main book bound in yellow matte boards, no jacket, 12 x 9.5 inches, near fine, small bump to top edge of text block, lightest surface soil; housed in full black rubber slipcase with Sex Pistols design in relief designed by the artist "Zevs," apparently in a "bondage" themed design. In larger rubberized clamshell slipcase with magnetized flap, 15 x 12 inches, housing the book plus book in wraps simply titled Sex Pistols, about 100 pages of reproduced newspaper clippings and articles about the band, plus two translucent glassine envelopes, the first containing 4 black stiff paper screen printed cards with "Sex Pistols" printed in various fonts and forms, 9 x 6.5 inches, the second housing 3 similarly sized silk screened sheets, reproducing Sex Pistols logos and an event poster, one numbered 237/500 and stamped "Janie Reid" on verso. The extras are all in fine condition; clamshell slipcase very good or better, one or two small bumps and scuffs and some faint surface soil. An impressive and frivolous deluxe edition. The slipcase by Zevs may be both the coolest and silliest part of this book folly, as the rubber tends to cling to the book and refuse to relinquish it -- getting the book out of the rubber slipcase is a frustrating ordeal that will make you curse Zevs, Kugelberg and everyone else associated with this project -- but it's also pretty fucking cool at the same time. We've wrapped the book in wax paper hoping that it will make it more removable. Near fine. Item #h44048
