The Daisy Ducks, inscribed & with long letter from author, plus postcard with note
Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1986. First Edition. Hardcover. Cloth backed boards in dust jacket, very good, inscribed by author to Jackie Geyer, a graphic artist and printer in Pittsburgh. With oversized postcard for this book with typed note from Boyer, signed, and 1 1/2 page letter on Places Rated Almanac letterhead (where Boyer was one of the main authors). Boyer was a fan of Geyer's art work and makes a serious proposal that she illustrate a new edition in a boxed set of Boyer's "Holmsian" works. "Your excellent pen and ink drawings of Ladies of the Canon prove you're a worthy successor to Frederick Dorr Steele and Sidney Paget!" We could find no evidence that this proposed project came to fruition. Very good / very good. Item #h44994
