Small 8vo, 7 x 4.25 inches, old dark brown calf, fair to good with amateur repairs - cloth bands reinforcing top and bottom of spine, wear along front joint, some varnishing along that joint, too, contents mainly very good, some toning and light foxing, with previous owner's bookplate and some additional inscriptions to endpapers, small hole in the middle of the title page and to one of the plates (facing p. 137). 154 pp, frontispiece, title vignette, 3 additional full page woodcuts and 8 vignettes or tailpieces by Alexander Anderson, considered America's "first illustrator."
