Brief handwritten biographical sketch of Gressner to flyleaf. faint foxing to titles, page extremities, else contents remain in lovely condition, bright and unmarked. Housed in mylar. The Idylls of 18th century Swiss poet, painter, and bookseller Salomon Gessner, whose work was held in popular regard throughout Europe despite contemporary critics finding him monotonous.
